Outside of a website, Facebook has become a necessity for so many businesses. When you created your Facebook business profile, you were provided a generic URL. The generic URL is very difficult for your community to remember and for you to utilize in marketing materials. Let’s fix it with a few quick clicks of a mouse!
What do I need to know about my Facebook Username?
- Your Vanity URL can only be changed once. You can’t transfer the ownership of a Facebook page username to another party.
- Facebook page usernames can only include letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), or a period (.).
- You can only have one username per Facebook page.
- The Facebook page username can’t violate anyone’s trademark rights.
How to Create a Facebook Business Page Vanity URL
- Log into a Facebook profile that manages the business page
- Navigate to your Facebook business page
- On the left side, scroll down until you find “Edit Page Info“
- Click “Edit” next to “Username”
- Enter your desired Facebook page username (which will become your URL) in the username field. If the username is not taken by someone else, a green check mark will appear. You may need to adjust your Facebook page username slightly if it is already taken.
- Click “Create Username”
