Baking Up More Than Just Cakes:
How SugaBakers Achieved Their Perfect Website
Keelie Banks, the visionary behind SugaBakers, has spent over a decade perfecting her soulful southern-style desserts, and her passion is evident in every cake she creates.
Keelie needed a website to expand her growing business, but as a blind baker (how cool, right?!), her website needed to be more than just a place to buy cakes and cookies.
Keelie’s challenge? Ensuring her site was accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. As a blind business owner, ADA compliance was non-negotiable. But, many website designers don’t fully understand the complexities of making a site accessible, and Keelie knew she needed an expert who could get it right.
That’s where I came in. I’d previously worked with an ADA-compliance lawyer to know exactly what to look for, ensuring SugaBakers met all the legal requirements while providing a seamless experience for customers. Within weeks, Keelie’s site was not only visually stunning and fully functional.
Keelie’s words speak to the result: “Jennifer is absolutely amazing! She made the process seamless and brought my vision to life.”
Now, with a site that works for both her and her customers, Keelie is ready to serve her delicious cakes to a larger audience (she even sells out during the holidays!).
